WE BELIEVE

We are a Bible-based church with the goal to glorify God in:

  • The promotion of Christian fellowship and the edification of the believer through the teaching of the Word of God.
  • The salvation of the lost through the preaching of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • The  world-wide proclamation of God’s grace as expressed in the shed blood  and finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary.
  • The defense of the “The Faith Once Delivered” in harmony with God’s Holy Word, the Bible until He comes.
  • The stimulation of growth in Christian love and the capacity for Christian living in the church family.
  • Every aspect and in every ministry of our church. For God is worthy of all praise, glory and honor.

ARTICLES OF FAITH

  • We believe that the Bible (the Holy  Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments) is the infallible and  authoritative Word of God. It was given by divine inspiration and this  system of diving revelation comprehends everything necessary for us to  know concerning God and the direction of our obedience to Him. By this  Divine Book, God hath made revelation of His gracious design of saving  poor sinners, and pointing out the way through the redemption by the  blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We  believe there is one God existing eternally in three persons: God the  Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, Deuteronomy  6:4 and Matthew 3:16-17)
  • We  believe in the fall of mankind in Adam; their guilt and condemnation  together with their entire and universal depravity, by which they were  utterly alienated from God, and are unable in and of themselves to turn  to Him. Therefore, all need a Savior, and that the crucified,  resurrected, and ascended Lord Jesus Christ is the only Savior. (Romans  5:12, Romans 3:10-11 and 23, John 6:44, I Corinthians 15:22, Acts  4:10-12 and John 14:6)
  • We  believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth; in His  matchless, sinless life; in His vicarious death for our sins; in His  bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven and in His present  mediatorial work for us at the Father’s right hand in glory. (John  1:1-2, Romans 4:25, I Peter 2:22, II Corinthians 5:21, I Timothy 2:5 and  Isaiah 7:13-14)
  • We  believe in the commission of our Lord Jesus given to His disciples that  makes it imperative on our part to preach the Gospel in all the world  to every creature, until the Lord shall come again from heaven to raise  His sleeping dead, to change His living and waiting saints, and  translate them to glory. We believe in His personal, visible,  premillennial return to the earth. Furthermore, the revealed will of  Christ make it the indispensable duty of the churches to support the  labor of their ministry with their prayers, active cooperation and  material contributions.  (I Thessalonians 4:14-17)
  • We  accept and contend for any doctrine that exalts the Person and work of  our Lord Jesus Christ. We steadfastly reject all teachings which take  away from His person and work. (I John 4:1-3, Jude 3, Colossians  1:18-19, Isaiah 42:8 and I Corinthians 1:29-31)
  • We  believe in Holy Spirit’s work in this age is to call out a people from  Jews and Gentiles who shall compose the church, the Bide of Christ, the  Body of which Christ is the Head. (Matthew 16:17-18, Acts 2:47, I  Corinthians 12:13, Ephesians 5:25-32 and Ephesians 1:22-23)
  • We  believe in the Deity person and work of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 5:3-4,  John 14:16-18, John 15:26, John 16:7-15, I Corinthians 12:13 and  Ephesians 5:18)
  • We  believe there is a heaven prepared for all born-again, blood-washed  children of God and that this attainment is not of works, but by simple  faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 14:1-6, I  John 1:7-9, Ephesians 2:8-9 and Hebrews 9:11-15 and 22)
  • We  believe the absolute necessity of a holy life in conformity to the life of Christ as the result of faith and the evidence of regeneration.  (Philippians 1:11, Ephesians 4:24 and Galatians 2:20)
  • We  believe there is eternal conscious punishment for all Christ rejecters.  (Matthew 24:51, Matthew 25:30, 41 and 46, I Thessalonians 1:7-8,  Revelation 19:19-20, Revelation 20:14-15, Revelation 21:8, Luke 16:22-31  and John 3:18 and 36)
  • We  believe in believers baptism by immersion of a believer in water in the  name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit – setting  forth the essential facts of redemption: the death, burial and  resurrection of Jesus Christ and the essential facts in the experience  of the believer: death to sin and resurrection to newness of life.  (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:35-39 and Romans 6:3-13)
  • We  believe that the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration of Christ’s death  until He comes – a look back to Calvary and forward to His second  coming, and that Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the only two  ordinances of the church. (Matthew 26:26-28, Mark 14:22-25, Luke  22:19-20 and I Corinthians 11:23-26)
  • We  believe that every truly born-again believer is by the Holy Spirit  baptized into the church, the body of Christ of which He is the Head and  we are the members of that body. (Ephesians 5:22 and 30, I Corinthians  12:12-13, 18 and 27)
  • We  believe a Gospel church is the highest, earthly, ecclesiastical  tribunal in no wise subject to any other church or the decrees of  associations or councils but dependent for its acts on the Word and  Spirit of God alone. The order of its government is congregational where  in all its members have an equal voice and authority. (Matthew 16:18,  II Timothy 3:16-17, John 16:13 and James 1:5)
  • We  believe in the sanctity of the first day of the week; that it should be  observed by abstaining from secular employment and occupied in public  and private worship of God or in works of necessity and mercy. (Luke  24:1-3 and 33-36, Acts 20:7 and I Corinthians 16:2)
  • We believe in the personality of Satan as:
  • 1. The archenemy of God. (Isaiah 14:12-14)
  • 2. The Adversary and Accuser of the brethren. (I Peter 5:8, Revelation 12:9-10)
  • 3. To be father to all wicked. (John 8:44, Ephesians 2:2 and II Corinthians 4:34)
  • 4. To be a defeated foe. (Romans 8:35-39, John 16:8 and 11, Hebrews 2:14 and Revelation 20:10)
  • We  believe in the eternal security of the believer in Christ – that they  are kept by the power of God, eternally saved and sealed by the Holy  Spirit; a salvation which God wants us to know for sure that we have in  Him. (John 10:27-29, Ephesians 2:6, I Peter 1:5, John 5:24, John 3:16,  John 3:36, Ephesians 4:30, Ephesians 1:13-14 and I John 5:12-13)
  • We  believe that the charismatic movement is not of God or led by the  Spirit of God, therefore it could only be of an evil spirit, a trap  energized by Satan to side track many people off the main line of the  Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we believe it to be wrong to allow  any aspects of it to enter in our church or any type of participation in  this charismatic movement. (II Corinthians 11:3-4, I Corinthians 14:33,  I John 4:1, Titus 1:19, II Timothy 2:14-16, II Timothy 4:2-5, I Timothy  4:1, I Corinthians 13:5, John 16:13-14, Ephesians 1:13-14, I  Corinthians 3:16, I Corinthians 6:19 and I Corinthians 12:12-13)
